TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Orders should be placed up to 2 weeks in advance if possible but we will do our best to accommodate orders at short notice depending on the design and availability of the date.
For wedding orders we recommend placing the order as soon as possible to ensure your order and date is secured.
Laura's Little Cupcake Company cannot produce any cakes that could be in violation of copyright such as Disney or Pixar character cakes, however we would be happy to discuss an alternative design with you.
You agree to pay the company the price as quoted on your signed order form.
A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of the order. This amount will depend on the size of the order and will be deducted from the final balance payable. (The deposit may be partly refunded under exceptional circumstances at our discretion). The payment of your deposit will be confirmation of your order and will secure the booking date.
Payments may be made in cash or by bank transfer. Cheques are also accepted and should be made payable to Laura's Little Cupcake Company. Please write your name and order number on the reverse of the cheque and allow an additional 5 working days for cheques to be cleared. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact me and I will provide the bank details.
Orders placed with notice of 7 days or less will be payable in full at the time the order is placed.
The final balance must be received and cleared 4 weeks in advance of the date you require your cakes. After this date no refunds will be given except in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion. If payment is not received by this date, we may be unable to complete the order and deposits will not be refunded.
CAKE STAND HIRE
Cake stand hire consists of two payments; a non-refundable hire charge and a refundable security deposit. The security deposit will reflect the replacement value of the stand hired and will be refunded in full providing the stand is returned on time and undamaged in the packaging (box or bag) supplied. We may be able to collect the stand if arranged in advance.
Risk or Loss or Damage: The customer assumes all risks of loss or damage to the stand from any cause and agrees to return the cake stand and packaging in the physical condition in which it was received. The cake stand is only loaned to the person named in the agreement and should not be used by anyone other than the customer.
Late return or a damaged stand will result in the forfeit of all or part of your deposit.
CHANGES TO ORDERS
Any changes to orders (design, flavours, colours, etc.) must be made at least 28 days prior to the collection/delivery date and must be requested in writing. Changes to the order could result in an increase in the total cost depending on whether work on the order has started.
CAKE CUTTING GUIDELINES
Any big cakes ordered will have a cutting guide provided with the cake. This will show you exactly how to cut the cakes in order to obtain the correct number of slices that you require. It is the customer’s responsibility to pass on the cutting guide information to whoever is cutting the cake and Laura’s Little Cupcake Company cannot be held responsible if the cutting guide is not used and fewer slices are obtained.
COLLECTION AND DELIVERY
We can deliver to any address in Bicester for free of charge at a time agreed with the customer at the time of the order. If we cannot deliver because there is no one to receive the product or the address provided is incorrect, the product will be held for a maximum of 24 hours. In this instance arrangements will need to be made for the order to be collected.
We are also happy for you to collect your order from us at a time agreed on your order form. Any orders outside of Bicester may incur an additional delivery cost depending on the location. Should you wish to change the collection details, we will do our best to accomodate but cannot guarantee availability.
Once the goods have been delivered or collected and signed for, Laura's Little Cupcake Company cannot be held responsible for any damage to the cakes. If we are delivering to a venue we will take photos of the cakes as proof of delivery.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Full payment will be due if an order is cancelled by a customer less than a week in advance of the date the cakes are due (unless there are exceptional circumstances).
In the unlikely event that Laura's Little Cupcake Company are unable to fulfil your order due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments will be fully refunded and we accept no further liability.
We want you to be 100% happy with your cakes. If for any reason you are not happy, however, please let us know within 48 hours.
USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS
By ordering a cake from Laura's Little Cupcake Company you agree that we may use a photo of your cakes for promotional purposes. We will never publicly share photos of your cakes before the date of your event.
BEST BEFORE DATES AND ALLERGY INFORMATION
All of our cakes are freshly baked to order therefore they should generally be consumed within 2-3 days of collection/delivery so that you may enjoy them at their best. They will be supplied in a cake box and should remain stored in this box in a cool dry place for as long as possible to keep them fresh. They should not be stored in a refrigerator as this may affect the decoration.
None of our cakes contain nuts. However no absolute nut free guarantee can be given as the cakes are prepared in a kitchen where nuts are sometimes used.
Allergy and storage information will be provided separately with every order and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that this information is supplied to all relevant parties. Information will also be provided with any cake which has non edible elements such as dowels or wires. This is also the responsibility of the customer to ensure information is passed on.
